WATER POWER IN WOODSTOCK - DISPLAY - May 24, 2009

An exhibit at Palmer Hall that shows some of the ways water has affected Woodstock life through the years. Photographs, documents and objects from the Woodstock Historical Society collections demonstrate the use of water power for mills, effects of floods and hurricanes, building of bridges and dams, creative properties of water, products of water, and recreational uses. The exhibit is free and open to the public on Sunday afternoons from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. from May 24-September 2009.

Growing Up in Woodstock

The lives of children in Woodstock, as represented in the collections of the Woodstock Historical Society, will be featured in an exhibit at the Society’s Noren Gallery at Palmer Hall from May 30 till September 1, 2010.  Photographs and memorabilia will recall memories of the farm life, school days, sports, games, and celebrations that were part of childhood in Woodstock in the 19th and 20th centuries.
